How it works
- Draw a pattern. Connect at least six dots on the 5×5 grid. A pattern you haven't used before makes a new, empty vault.
- Add your files. Bring in photos and videos from your library, take them with ShyVault's camera, or add documents and notes. ShyVault can remove the originals from Photos for you.
- Leave, and it locks. Switch apps or lock your iPhone and the vault closes. Only the same pattern opens it again.
No account, no ads, no analytics. ShyVault doesn't know who you are or what you keep.
What ShyVault does

- There's no list of vaults and no wrong-pattern message. Draw a different pattern and you get a different vault.
- Encrypted on your iPhone
- Files are encrypted before they are saved, with keys that come from your pattern. We never see them, and nobody who picks up your phone can either.

- Screenshots and screen recordings of ShyVault come out black, and the vault locks as soon as you leave it.
- Free backup to your own iCloud
- Each vault is encrypted and padded before it leaves your iPhone. On a new iPhone, its recovery phrase brings it back.

US prices. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the period ends, and you can cancel any time in your Apple Account settings.
What ShyVault can't do
- Someone who copies your iPhone's storage can see that encrypted vault files exist and roughly how many there are. They can't open them or tell which files belong together.
- Anyone who has a vault's recovery phrase can open that vault, on any iPhone, so keep it private.
- If you forget a pattern and lose its recovery phrase, that vault can't be opened by anyone, including us.
- A shared vault can be opened by anyone with its code until you stop sharing it. Expiry and join limits are kept by the app, not by a server.
